Iphone 5s cases // Haul

I think my next favourite thing after having an iPhone is finding the nicest cases everywhere to accessories my other half!

I haven't got many but I'm sure they'll be a lot to add too the post but I thought I would just show where you can easily pick them up.

These first two are very similar i first bought the owl one and then seen they had a snowflake one and thought well I need to have some sort of christmas case! these are both from Primark and £3 each which is such a bargain.

the next one is also from Primark and I'm taking it as cat ears at the top and i'll stick to that story this one was a steal at just a £1

the last one I got is from Tesco and its made my the brand Turtle, after having a lil wander they had a whole box of covers on clearance and I spotted this one straight away and at only £3 I had to have it! and it reminds me that life is definitely peachy

Thanks for reading :) leave a comment below where you get your phone cases for some cute and quirky ones.

Travel make up bag // October

I thought I would do a post on what I take in my travel make up bag i.e. travelling to work, unfortunately not on holiday!

I used to take crazy amounts and never use half of it so I got a new make up bag out of Primark and thought I would cut down what I was taking!

For brushes I picked up the Real Techniques mini must haves which you can find at superdrug for £7.99! They are perfect travel size and have the same great quality as full size Real Techniques , I carry two full size ones , the contour brush which I used for blending concealer and applying powder and the detailer brush for those awkward little creases and you can never go wrong with a pair of tweezers!

Like I said I used to take my whole face make up with me but I now I just take bare essentials , I usually take foundation even if I don't use it to sort my make up never know where I might end up and its just a safety net!

Concealer , eyebrow pencil and lipstick are my must haves!! I always end up rubbing off my eyebrows and I always need things concealed. Powder is usually another essential but this little Soap and Glory Concealer beauty has a power in it! saving space is my game!

I tend to always carry two lipsticks as I wear a nude to work but might be going out afterwards and like to use a more bold colour so I pop two in the morning.

What is the Hersheys lip balm I can hear you say, from Primark for £1 I wasn't expecting much but it is the tastiest lip balm Ive ever had and really moistening for the time it stays on my lips which doesn't tend to be long!

Thanks for reading, If you want to know where the rest of the products are from let me know!

Loving this week #4

Ready for another loving this week? It's a little late , I usually post on Fridays with this but I think I'm going to change it too a Sunday!

So on we go

Polka dot lettered make up bag // Primark

I picked up this make up bag the other day as my one the zip had broken so all my make up would fall into my bag , definitely time to get a new one! I'm a sucker for polka dots so this was perfect and has my initial on it, very cute. It has two sections , I'll probably use one for brushes and one for make up items. The material is really nice and easily cleanable which is obviously a plus! This was £3.00.

Loreal Paris hair expertise everpure colour care & Moisture Shampoo&Conditioner // Boots

I found this in the clearance section in boots , I really suggest looking into this section as you can get some amazing deals! This product is originally £6.20 each and I got them for £3.10 each, Im not sure why these were in clearance as there was nothing wrong with them but this is definitely my new favourite shampoo and conditioner. Smell in these products is important for me and these definitely tick the boxes.
The shampoo smells very fresh and the conditioner I can definitely smell peppermint when I use this, they leave my hair feeling gorgeous and too know they protect my dyed hair is an added bonus!

Alexa Chung 'It'// Waterstones

I'm sure you've all heard about this book , I picked up the paperback one as they were doing a buy one get one half price for this. I read this in a day , I loved how it was like an advice / information but done in a subtle way. Would suggest this book to anyone that loved beauty & fashion!

Dark red block heel chelsea boots //  New Look

I spotted these within some displays in New Look last week and knew I had to have them, funny enough I haven't had them off my feet since , these are super easy to walk in and are quite spongey , they go with pretty much everything but I've been wearing them with dresses and my boyfriend coat for a very Autumn look! these were only £24.99 which I think is a bargain!

Thanks for reading! If you've been enjoying any of these items too let me know below!

Loving this week #3

I'm getting quite into the swing of these posts now!

This week I have chucked in a now beauty or fashion item as you can probably see and think i'll do this from now on!

So to get started...

Tartan scalloped top // Asda

I had seen this a few times in Asda and always said I was going to buy it then change my mind but I eventually picked it up and took the plunge , I kind of went off this print as I just seen it everywhere but the shape and style of the shirt I loved, it was really flattering and fitted perfectly so I couldn't turn it down.
I also fell back in love with the pattern after seeing this on me. They have matching shorts to go with this but they didn't compliment me as well so I thought I would just get this.
At only £10 this was a bargain!

Pale pink shoulder bag // Primark

I picked this up quite a while back but only have got started to use it and I love it! I got it based on the colour. I usually carry around a masssssive shoulder bag and it was just getting to sore and exhausting so I thought I would use this.
The space it a big limited but you have a front compartment to put little things in then in the main compartment it has a little pocket for your phone and a zip compartment. Ideal for just little trips about!

Rich moisturiser // Simple

Now I'm sure you have all heard about simple and what there about, about a week ago I was suffering from really really dry skin around my chin and upper lip , this happens from time to time if something aggravates it, So I cut my usual skin routine out and just implemented all Simple products and I know they work for me. I picked up the rich moisturiser cause I wanted this problem fixed quickly and can honestly say after suffering from it for 4 days just 1 day use of this and my skin was back to normal. Thank the lord for Simple!

2 in 1 cleanser & Toner // Nivea

I've never been a fan of something that claims to be 2 in 1 but when I was picking up a new moisturiser it was 3 for £5 and thought I might as well have a little nosey and I found this , I needed a new cleanser anyway and thought I would branch out and try a few more brands than I usually use, Nivea has been a brand I haven't used since I was really young so I picked this up. Ive used this about 10 times now and LOVE IT, the smell is so refreshing and  leaves the skin so soft to touch. Definitely impressed with this little find.

Medium house blend // Starbucks

I'm going to sound like such a snob here but the taste of instant coffee to me make me feel ill but I'm a massive coffee fan and have been since about the age of 12 , I can only drink ground, filtered and often dabble with what the supermarkets have to offer. I think it was quite a few years back that Starbucks starting selling their coffee in Asda & Tesco but before I would usually just buy it out of Starbucks itself, but I found this in Asda and it's just delicious. Although I think i'm going to invest in a coffee machine cause the cafeteria  it a whollllle lot of effort at 6 in the morning!

Thanks for reading!! comment below and let me know what you've been loving this week!

Clothing & Accessories Haul // August

So today I have a very little , very black clothing haul for you lovely people.

I thought I had a lot more to show until I started taking these pictures but thought I should still put this up since I said in my last blog post I was going to do one

First things first (I'm a realist) I have a bone to pick with Topshop , the instant I saw these shorts I fell in love with them so I got my usual size and nipped to the fitting room and I could barely get the flipping thing over my thigh so I got the bigger size and it still didn't fit, so I did what any normal person done, I still bought them for when 'I loose weight' wow I can get them on but dare I try to sit down!

Hopefully you can see where I'm coming from on the not putting the shorts down and walking away! these were reduced from £38.00 to £15.00 in the sale!

Next thing I picked up in Topshop was this crop t shirt (that does fit) after watching melon ladys video about crop tops for bigger people I decided to experiment a bit and found this was perfect with high waisted shorts or jeans , This was £5.00 in the sale

This dress I have literally fallen in love with , I got this out of H&M for £14 I always feel like every time I go in this store it's either realllllly nice items or just very dire , this however caught my eye as soon as I walked in the store and thought it was just very autumny

I had first spotted this cardigan on a friend and wanted it instantly (lucky for her I controlled myself) and once she told me it was out of Primark for £14.00 I grabbed my running shoes and off I went, It's so perfect to just go over any outfit of these chilly nights and to add a little something else , it's not the most exciting piece but feel its a nice twist on a wardrobe essential

Last couple of items are a bag and some shoes nothing interesting behind these but thought they were very nice staples and have hardly taken both of them off , the bag was £12.00 // Primark and the shoes were £19.00 (I think) out of new look

So there is my lil clothing haul, Thanks for reading :)

Summer dress bargains | thegreatcatsbyx

So I was browsing my wardrobe the other day fr a nice outfit since the sun was shining and I wasn't feeling any dark colours at all

And all I noticed was a very dull outdated wardrobe , definitely called for a trip to town I had a scan around River Island and New look and saw some nice pieces but at this time 'im trying to save money so I thought I bet head to my trusty Primark not expecting to find much.

Until I came across these two beauties!

Both very floaty bright summer dresses and only £5 each! They have a nice fit to them more so the white than orange.

The white has ties around the back to pull the waist in which I was impressed by , it definitely hid my bumpy bits with but with only on issue , it is extremely see through I would invest in some white undergarments. The thing I like the most about this dress is it's so easy to layer with accessories and if I gets chilly on summer nights it's easy to shove on any cardigan without worrying of clashing colours. This one is my favorite!

Now the orange one , the first thing was definitely the pattern that attracted me to this , the gorgeous floral print and the bright and vibrant colour , now this dress does not do your figure justice at all I feel though if I got the bigger size this would have been a bit less obvoius and clingy

Let me know if you'd like to see an outfit of the day with one of these dresses :)

May | Mini Primark Haul

So shock horror I have another Primark Haul for you lovely people , Just a little one this time. I took a trip yesterday in Edinburgh as I was attending a spa day and as soon as I am in Edinburgh I know just t head straight to Primark and see what things I can find, I do have one in my home time but it's very limited stock.

So to get started I went straight to their beauty section as I love all their little random pieces , I had heard they sell nail polish and seen it quite a few times in hauls on you tube but never been successful in finding any except fro this little lucky trip! I picked up 2 colours , one a very neon orange ( I think I was delirious when I was thinking I would wear this ) and a pale pink , I have applied the pale pink this morning and was impressed! okay they are not blow away nail polishes but for £1 it definitely worth it , I had to do 3 coats but I don't mind with that as I usually always do that anyway but yes very impressed :) I also got an eyebrow pencil in medium I already own one but it's getting very small so I thought I would get another , I find these brow pencils perfect they have a little spoolie on the end to brush through your brows and the pencil is very creamy , this was £1.50 I think!! i not it was £1 so great value

Next time was this tote bag \ canvas bag thingy ma bobber! there was no real reason to this purchase just thought it was quite sweet and would be perfect for keeping my junk in! Luckily this came in very handy as when I left the store there was heavy heavy rain and Primark 'lovely paper bags' just fell through and everything was on the floor but I just used this for the rest of my journey unfortunately not really going well with my outfit but when needs must!!

another little random pick up was the accessory hanger , now being quite honest I have been looking for one for quite a while!! I can't explain how much I hate trying to store necklaces I just can't and this would be absolutely perfect , not more trying to detangle them before I leave the house!! this was only £2

My last little purchase was my shoes / sandals / i'm not quite sure . I have been spotting these for a while and never really sure if I wanted them , I'm always searching for some open shoes for the summer , there is nothing worse then closed shoes on a warm day and I thought well I'll take them home and pair them with some outfits and if it doesn't work I'll just return! I am yet to do so but I might make a post of the outfits I pair them with when I do!
These were only £8

Well that is it for my little mini Primark haul!

April makeup haul

So in April I'm sure you have all been very aware of boots 3 for 2 offer on make up , I've managed to pick up a few pieces that I wanted to try out just to mix up my make up bag a little bit as I feel I don't experiment enough for make up , you could say I'm coming out of my make up shell.

In my first little trip to boots I went t pick up some more of the Collection lasting perfection concealer  and thought I should just take advantage of the 3 for 2 , after about half an hour of crowding around busy make up shelves with my other half being dragged I decided just to return to the collection shelf and pick up pieces from here

First off is the Blush & highlight cream duo I thought I would give this a try as I've always used powder but wanted to give this a shot , I've also never really used highlighter before
My first impressions of this were it wasn't very pigmented you had to really get a lot of your finger for it to make an impact but the highlighter was very pigmented as just needed  couple of swipes for a good color , but for my first time of using a cream blush and highlighter I was impressed and definitely a bargain

The next thing I picked up was the Collection work the colour eyebrow kit I've always filled my eyebrows in but before I used the Natural collection solo eyeshadow in Crushed walnut applied with an angled eyebrow brush and then set with a clear mascara which worked well for me but definitely wanted to try something different , When I used this I wasn't taken a back by the result I used the middle color and set it with the clear mascara , I felt that color was far too dark but the one before it was far too light but after a bit of playing round with it I just applied a lot less product to the angled brow brush and it seemed to work but still wasn't the greatest result

On the same day I went to Primark , I had taken a trip to Edinburgh this day and decided to see if I could find the eye shadow palette that I have wanted for at least 2 months now!! after watching Becca rose Primark haul Which included pieces from the new range of the beauty section and ever since then I've been hunting for the eye shadow palette , I definitely think you need to go to the bigger Primark branches to find this item!

when I first opened it I was very impressed with the color  they really popped out and the range of different combinations you could do with them would be brilliant unfortunately none of them have names but here is a picture of the colors

I started by using the first color in the palette and was a bit unimpressed with the pigmentation now I can't be fussy as it was only £2.50 but I think for a basic eye shadow palette this is perfect!

The next time I went to boots I was in need of a new foundation I have really researched what I was wanting to buy as I have such issues with my foundation I have to pick carefully , after reading up a lotttttttt of review I have come to the decision to try Loreal Paris Infallible 24 hr Foundation I had read that I head amazing coverage and really that is all I look for in a foundation (and the ability to not make me look like an oompa loompa ) and this just ticked off every box , I am having  a bit of trouble with my skin right no and I feel the only downside to this foundation was it really sticks to the dry patches , but I find it easy to blend which I use to do with my Real techniques miracle complexion sponge it does dry quite quickly so you have to be relatively fast about it but all in all I would say this is a perfect high street foundation!

So that it's for my make up haul , I will have other ones to follow some time this week so please follow to keep up :)

Also please comment letting me know what your favorite high street make up product is!

Thanks you for reading :)

Montagne Jennesse Hot chocolate&orange self heating pore cleansing mask review

Not so long ago I discovered this little piece of gold in Primark!

Montagne jennesse's Hot Chocolate & orange self heating pore cleansing face mask. On my trip to Glasgow with a friend last month I picked up this mask in Primark for only 99p,I thought I may as well give it a bash.I have tried a few of their masks before and have always liked the aftermath, and for such a low price it's a really nice way just to perk your skin up a bit and give yourself a bit of pampering time!

That night I decided to give this a little shot, as soon as I opened the packet the scent of terry's chocolate orange just blasted out which had me smitten over this product already. It is so hard to not just eat this!

I have tried a few self heating masks before but never really been too impressed just by the fact of yes they do get warm but nothing that really feels like it does anything. As soon as I applied this too my skin it was like all my pores cried with happiness, it's very warming (obviously tolerable warmth) after applying this it made my hands look like I just shoved them into a massive bowl of melted chocolate which I was loving!

I left this on for about 15 and the whole time it was on my face, the heat kept. I used a very hot cloth to this off, and surprisingly it budges very easily!  I just splashed some cold water over my face afterwards just to close my pores up.

My face was incredibly soft after and felt very very clean! I would definitely recommend this product and even better it's on offer in boots just now for 89p,it's worth a trip!!

Primark& H&M haul

So this weekend one of my friends and I took a trip to Glasgow to see Jack Whitehall in the Hydro which was absolutely amazing but also a lot of shopping took place! surprise surprise I spent money!  but hey ho I got some lovely bits and pieces and hardly spent anything, I was mostly excited to head to an even bigger Primark than m local one as sad as that sounds so yeah here are the things I picked up in my little adventure

So I had seen a few bloggers talking about this but I couldn't find this in my local Primark,So when I looked at the make up section I was so thrilled to find this,I got it in medium and was only £1.50!! so I wasn't going wrong any where by buying it, I have only used a couple of times but I find this perfect with the spoolie on one end and pencil on the other is perfect for taking places and can be applied so lightly to give a natural look! I would definitely recommend this

I bought these boots in my local Primark but felt they needed a mention in this haul as they are just gorgeous, I love Chelsea boots (not just because it is my name) they are so easy to wear with anything and my god they are comfy these were only £12 so a complete steal! I also picked up some socks, not the most exciting part but thought they were pretty spring colors and would look nice with my boots and costing only £2.50

Now these little accessories pieces I picked up I thought were just so pretty, starting with the sunglasses cause thank goodness the sun is starting to peak back through! they look cat eye with polka dots on the legs, just a nice little extra piece for £2.50, I also picked up some bun toppers which is a thing I have never owned but yet again the spring colors dragged me into buying these and only £1.50 each and the last piece was the silver Aztec design neck,it reaches all the way around the neck and is quite heavy but just nice with a plain dress and only £3!

Now to some clothes I picked these navy with red polka dot shorts for only £3 in the sale! I thought they would be gorgeous for summer, I also picked up this basic skirt for h&m as you could tell i'm a bit of a sucker for polka dot and just couldn't resist this for £4.

Stripped & cat fake nails

On my trip into Primark the other day (yet again) to buy some boots I came across their whole new collection of fake nails, some questionable but some just dam cute, Mainly these cat and polka dot ones and soon as I set my eyes on them I wanted them and only £1 you can't go a miss I actually applied these this morning! I thought the stripped ones as well was adorable and nice to just finish off an outfit without the fiddle of doing it yourself!

I'm a sucker for fake nails due to my failure to grow my own nails but these have just taken my nail obsession  further I'm sure i'll be returning for more

Both sets were £1

Mini haul-Budget buys.

So after my interview today I decided to take a trip into town as I had some cash to spend and Superdrug vouchers I wanted to use.

First stop was Primark looking for the new eye palettes they are selling in the P.S love beauty range,I had seen them being reviewed by a few bloggers and I couldn't resist but unfortunately this was the fifth trip I was taking into my local Primark for this item and this fifth unsuccessful time,I know have to accept they don't sell them, which is very difficult! But just as I was leaving the store, this stripped dress caught my eye and even better it was £5!

With my mood being picked up with this find I headed to Superdrug to find a nice bargain, First thing I picked was obviously some more of collection 2000's concealer,Just an essential in my make up bag and I was running out, I then went to skincare as I don't really pay much attention to other skincare products as I have it coming out of my ears but I spotted this hot cloth cleanser, unfortunately I never got to the point where I can afford to the high end versions of the product,so I when I found this I was over the moon, I feel the only problem I may have with it is it's more for dry skin which I do have but also oily so I tend to sway away from things that don't associate with anti blemish but I couldn't ignore this product at only £4.99,I then continued to look at the make up and came across the MUA where a little eye shadow trio attracted my attention,I've never tried any of MUA's other products except their red lipstick as it is so affordable, but this trio looked exactly like some of the colors I was wanting for the Primark palette,So I grabbed it,It seems to be medium pigmentation but that's not an issue as it can easily built up

Thank you for reading :)

Primark striped dress-£5
Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser-£4.99
MUA eyeshadow trio-£2.50
Collections Lasting perfection concealer-£3.99
